Andrea Dossena (11 Sept. 1981) from Lodi, Lombardy, Italy is a left back or a left winger i.e playing a rugged defence as well as a strong attacker. He has played for Udinese (2006-2008), Liverpool (2008-2010), Napoli (2010-2013), Sunderland (2013-2014), Leyton Orient (2014) so far.
In the summer transfer window of 2008 he had joined the reds from the Udinese and Rafa Benz was on the lookout for a left back at the same time. He bought him for 8 million dollars. He was a given the number 2 t-shirt and played as a left-winger. Rafa had two left-backs to himself and knowing this Dossena knew his game time would be limited and made just 31 appearances. He had linked with the Leyton Orient on a short term deal when they were having a disappointing start at the league. After playing for Leyton Orient he was signed by Chiasso and made 19 appearances.
After this he was signed for Piacenza in 2016-17 making six appearances for the team the tournament towads the end of 2016 and 2017 but has been without a club since then. He had just listed for one and a half months in Liverpool club but his contributions were seen in a small timeframe. He had just scored two for the club in fact. Two weeks before Liverpool had defeated the Spanish giants and were up against Madrid. Dossena was swapped in for Torres as an auxiliary left-winger. And literally the most amazing of his two goals in the Liverpool career his first one was scored just after 5 minutes of his arrival assisted by Javier Masacherano.
